What are cookies and local storage?
Small browser or app records preserve a session or preference across requests. They are not standalone programs and cannot freely read unrelated device data.
Web storage
Current web storage is limited to the Supabase authentication session, the language explicitly selected by the visitor, and short-lived security or OAuth flow state.
Mobile local data
The app may keep language, a protected Keychain/Keystore session, resumable-upload state and bounded reference/playback cache. Signing out clears access state but does not delete server-side Memories.
When consent is required
Strictly necessary storage is used to provide the requested secure service. Any future analytics, experimentation or advertising category starts disabled and requires prior granular consent that is as easy to withdraw as to give.
Controls
Browser and phone settings can delete local data and revoke camera, microphone or photo permissions. Blocking an essential session cookie can sign the user out or prevent protected pages from working.
