Three different assets
The original photograph remains an untouched source. The original uploaded video and the optimized streaming renditions have separate records and separate retention policies.
The promise frozen at purchase
The order freezes the video-length, access, export and activated product rights. Optimized playback remains available while Emlivo operates; this is distinct from promising perpetual retention of the original source file.
Lifecycle
Temporary uploads expire and drafts are deleted with the account. Purchased, issued Emlivos keep only the detached reference and optimized playback needed to scan; account deletion and any future planned service closure follow controlled, notified processes.
Original-video policies
A package may delete the original after validated processing, retain it for a recovery window, or archive it under an explicit premium right. Cloudflare playback is not an archive of the exact source.
Owner deletion and access revocation
Account deletion removes ownership, direct personal data, drafts and unnecessary media. A purchased, issued print remains anonymously scannable and playable under its existing access mode but is no longer manageable from the deleted account. Deletion never turns a PIN-protected or expired publication into broader public access. Refund, legal or safety action may separately withdraw it, and a Print Token is never repointed to another family's Memory.
Deletion holds
An active order, payment dispute, processing or recovery, legal claim, authority request, security investigation or another valid purchased right can suspend ordinary deletion.
Backups and provider changes
Deleted data can remain isolated until a rotating backup expires. Restoration reapplies the deletion ledger. Provider migration preserves purchased rights, integrity and authorization—not the old provider name.
Notice and export
Owner deletion or a planned service closure must not become silent data loss. Reasonable notice and any technically available export are communicated clearly. Transactional email is not operational until a verified sender and provider have passed inbox testing.
